Batting an eyelash at Organics

While picking up some hair dye for my mom, I came across Physician’s Formula “Organic wear” line of products. I have seen this line before, but decided it was time to give it a try. My mascara is getting old and it is time for a replacement. Probably the thing that attracted me most was the cute packaging. The top handle part of the brush looks like a shiny new spring leaf appropriately attached to a wooden-colored base. It is like having a miniature tree branch in my hand. What makes this item great is how eco-friendly the entire product is, down to the mascara brush itself. Even the brush is 100 percent recyclable. The total ingredients are 100 percent from a natural origin, 47 percent of the total ingredients are produced from organic farming. Oh and did I mention that it is certified? Physicians Formula boasts that it is a part of “ECOCERT,” “the first ever certified organic line of make up in the U.S.” A 2-pack cost about $10, a reasonable price for an organic item, especially make-up. And since I don’t really need two of them, I gave the other one away to my mom. Eco-friendly, cheap and chic? Definitely. Is it the most amazing mascara ever? Maybe. I’m going to try it and find out.
